Health and specific needs

So that everything falls into place

If you have any specific needs, tell us before booking: we'll be honest about what the house can offer.

  • No pets.
  • We can't guarantee an allergen-free environment: if you're sensitive to scented products or air fresheners, tell us and we'll bear it in mind when preparing the house.
  • If you need alternative bedding, ask us.
  • The house has natural ventilation: windows and terraces on both floors.
  • The bathrooms have showers; we have a baby bath, a cot and a high chair.
  • The two floors are connected by stairs: the house is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty climbing them, and it is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Outdoor floors and the jacuzzi area can be slippery when wet.
  • Medical emergency: 112. Nearest hospital: Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa, in Arrecife.
  • Lanzarote has strong sun and dry air: stay hydrated, use sun protection and avoid the midday hours in summer.
Weather and responsible use

Tips for enjoying Lanzarote

Small things that make your stay more comfortable and look after the house.

Wind and calima

  • During calima (Saharan dust) episodes, keep the windows closed and avoid exertion outdoors.
  • In strong wind, open and close doors and windows carefully: draughts can slam them shut.
  • Don't leave parasols or light objects unsecured, or anything on the railings.
  • Close the awnings in strong wind.
  • Keep the windows closed when the air conditioning is on, and use the fans as instructed.

Water, electricity and waste

  • Don't waste water and don't leave taps running.
  • Switch off the lights when you go out, and be mindful of the neighbours when using the outdoor lighting.
  • Tell us about any leak or fault.
  • Sort your waste and take it to the bins on Calle Piteras.
  • Don't flush wipes, sanitary towels, tampons or similar products down the toilet.
  • Don't pour oil or fat down the sink.

At the beach. The Atlantic has currents that catch out those who don't know them: swim at lifeguarded beaches, respect the flags and the lifeguards' instructions, and never go in the water under a red flag.
