What to do

Step by step, case by case

Read these instructions when you arrive: in an emergency, 112 always comes first.

Fire
  • Leave the house without stopping to collect belongings, closing the doors behind you.
  • Call 112 from outside.
  • Use the extinguisher only if the fire is small and you can do so without risk.
  • Don't go back in until the emergency services say it's safe.
  • Message us on WhatsApp as soon as you're safe.

Water
  • Turn off the tap or the nearest stopcock if you can do so safely.
  • Don't touch sockets or electrical appliances with wet hands or with water on the floor.
  • Message us on WhatsApp immediately: we'll arrange assistance.
  • If the water reaches sockets or the fuse box, keep away and call 112 if there is any danger.

Health
  • Call 112 and give the area: Costa Teguise. The exact address is in your private guide.
  • Nearest hospital: Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa, in Arrecife.
  • There is a first-aid kit in the house for minor injuries.
  • Message us on WhatsApp when you can.

Electricity
  • Check whether the neighbouring houses are affected too.
  • Don't touch the fuse box beyond resetting a breaker, as explained in the private guide.
  • Unplug any appliances that were in use.
  • Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what to do next.

Evacuation
  • The escape routes are the house's exit doors: always keep them clear.
  • The meeting point is outside the house, by the parking spaces.
  • Fire extinguisher and first-aid kit: you'll find their exact location, along with the fuse box and the water stopcock, in the private guide you receive when you book.
  • When you arrive, take a minute to check where the extinguisher and the exits are.
Prevention and privacy

A well-kept house

Miranda al Mar's safety measures, and what we ask of you to keep them in place.

01

Fire prevention

A fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit in the house, clear escape routes, and no candles, fireworks or unattended flames. The house may not have smoke or carbon monoxide alarms: if in doubt, ask us.

02

Preventing falls and accidents

Railings checked, good lighting, and care on wet floors, terraces and stairs. Children always supervised.

03

Secure access

Doors and windows with secure locks, key control, codes changed between bookings and outdoor lighting. Any problem with a lock or the loss of keys must be reported immediately.

04

Electrical safety

Don't tamper with fuse boxes or installations, don't overload sockets or power strips, and don't use electrical appliances near water. If you notice a burning smell, sparks or anything unusual, tell us straight away.

05

Fittings and furnishings

Follow the instructions for the heating and air-conditioning equipment, don't tamper with the plumbing or the jacuzzi's filtration system, and report any leak, breakage or accidental damage as soon as possible.

06

Privacy and CCTV

There is a security camera on the front of the building only, at the entrance. There are no cameras inside the house. Its presence is disclosed before booking, and tampering with or disconnecting the devices is not allowed.
